Skills/background needed:

We’re looking for someone who can write sharp marketing copy and longer storytelling pieces with equal skill. This is a role that moves fluidly between punchy subject lines and 1,500-word features, always in a consistent, compelling brand voice.

You’ll work roughly 70% on short-form marketing content (email, social, campaigns, web copy) and 30% on long-form storytelling (articles, impact features, and editorial pieces).

Essential experience:

We welcome candidates with writing experience in any professional setting. A portfolio showing both short-form marketing copy and at least one long-form article or feature piece is required. You’ll need strong command of grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment is essential.

What you’ll bring:

Exceptional writing and editing skills. Ability to shift tone and format quickly without losing brand voice. Comfort using modern content tools and AI-assisted technologies responsibly. Experience working within brand guidelines across diverse communication platforms. Passion for clear, accurate, mission-driven communication. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred (but not required):

Background writing for nonprofit or mission-driven organizations. Experience with donor communications or fundraising campaigns. Familiarity with content strategy, SEO, or audience engagement for digital platforms. Knowledge of content management systems, email marketing platforms, or social media management tools. Experience collaborating with designers and marketing teams on integrated campaigns. Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and team collaboration apps.

What we offer:

Full training provided. Flexible work environment with reasonable schedule coordination to support long-term effectiveness. Opportunities to grow your skills across multiple content formats and platforms. Supportive team environment where your work directly impacts meaningful outcomes. Access to professional development resources to build your writing craft.

Why apply:

This is an ideal role for someone who loves moving between different types of writing—from campaign emails to in-depth features. You’ll develop expertise in both marketing and narrative storytelling while working with a collaborative team. All experience levels welcome; we provide full support and training for the right candidate with strong writing fundamentals and enthusiasm to learn.
