We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Technical Writer to develop, maintain, and improve our comprehensive policies and procedures documentation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys translating complex information into clear, easy-to-follow guides that help teams work more efficiently.
You’ll work closely with leadership and staff across all departments to document processes, create standard operating procedures, and build training materials. No prior experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed in this role.
What you’ll do:
• Develop, edit, and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials• Organize department-specific documents into a centralized handbook with regular updates• Conduct interviews with team members to gather information about workflows and processes• Manage documentation projects independently, tracking timelines and deliverables• Review existing processes to spot gaps and opportunities for improvement• Translate complex operational and technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation• Establish and maintain consistent formatting and documentation standards• Create and update training materials to support employee onboarding• Work with leadership to ensure policies align with organizational goals and requirements• Handle sensitive business and operational information with confidentiality
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision• Strong project management and time-management skills• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities• Ability to gather information from diverse team members and accurately document processes• Strong communication skills with people at all organizational levels• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint• Strong document formatting and editing capabilities• A Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience• Experience with document management systems is a plus, but not required
