We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and help document manufacturing processes and equipment operations. You’ll work alongside engineers and subject matter experts to create clear, accessible instructional materials that help people understand complex procedures.
This is a fully remote role perfect for someone entering the technical writing field. We provide full training, and no prior manufacturing experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a passion for clear communication.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Creating instructional documents and step-by-step guides on manufacturing topics
- Working with engineers to gather information, take notes, and capture photographs for new documentation
- Transforming raw information into clear Manufacturing Instructions, visual aids, training checklists, and maintenance guides
- Maintaining consistent formatting and style across all documents using provided templates
- Managing document versions and keeping accurate records of changes
- Juggling multiple projects at different stages while meeting deadlines
- Communicating clearly with the team about any issues or questions that arise during documentation
What You’ll Bring
You don’t need years of experience—we’re looking for potential and attitude. Ideally, you’ll have or be able to develop:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to grammar, spelling, and clarity
- Ability to take complex information and turn it into simple, easy-to-follow procedures
- Excellent listening and observation skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
- A genuine desire to help others learn through clear instruction
Experience with digital photography, reading mechanical drawings, or technical specifications is a bonus but not required.
