Technical Writer – Manufacturing Documentation Entry Level

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and help document manufacturing processes and equipment operations. You’ll work alongside engineers and subject matter experts to create clear, accessible instructional materials.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll capture information through notes, photographs, and recordings, then transform it into Manufacturing Instructions, visual guides, training checklists, and maintenance documentation. No prior manufacturing experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Create clear instructional documents on manufacturing topics by working step-by-step with engineers and technical experts

• Take notes and photographs on-site to capture details for new documentation

• Maintain consistent style and formatting across all documents using established templates

• Manage document versions and history to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Communicate clearly with team members when questions or issues arise during the documentation process

• Balance multiple documentation projects at different stages simultaneously

As you grow in the role, you may have the opportunity to lead and mentor other technical writers, including helping with hiring, training, and project coordination.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation

• Ability to translate spoken information into clear, written procedures

• Excellent listening and observation skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Digital photography experience is a bonus—including still photography, close-up detail work, and basic photo editing

• Experience reading mechanical drawings or technical specifications is helpful but not required

We welcome candidates with no prior technical writing experience. If you’re detail-oriented, a quick learner, and excited to develop your skills in a supportive environment, we’d like to hear from you.
