Job Summary
As a Technical Writer, you will develop and maintain documentation for software and hardware products. This is a fully remote, entry-level role perfect for someone eager to launch a career in technical writing. You’ll work with product teams to create user guides, installation manuals, quick-start guides, and release notes that help customers understand and use products effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with product managers and subject matter experts to produce clear, accurate technical documentation
• Create high-quality content that is easy for customers to understand
• Develop illustrations and graphics for technical documentation
• Design and maintain templates for technical documents
• Edit and review documentation for consistency and clarity
• Examine documentation from a customer perspective to identify and resolve issues before release
• Support team members on documentation projects to meet deadlines
Skills/background needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and explain complex technology in simple, user-friendly language
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or similar writing software
• Ability to create basic graphics and illustrations (design experience helpful but not required)
• Comfortable learning new tools and software
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments
• Willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
