Technical Scriptwriter – On-Site Entry Level

About the role

We’re hiring a Technical Scriptwriter to join our video team. You’ll be writing scripts and voiceovers for technical videos, specifically content that explains complex concepts in clear, engaging ways. Think: tool comparisons, automation workflows, in-depth product testing, and emerging technology explainers. You’ll be a self-starter who stays plugged into industry trends, pitches video ideas, and helps shape what content we create next.

What you’ll do

• Write scripts for technical YouTube videos, tool comparisons, automation demos, and product tests
• Run your own tests and experiments when a script requires hands-on validation
• Write and record voiceovers for technical videos that require explaining workflows or emerging technology concepts
• Stay on top of industry trends and market developments relevant to your audience
• Pitch video ideas to the team based on market trends, audience questions, and content gaps
• Collaborate with video editors and producers to refine scripts based on visual storytelling needs
• Use available tools and assistants to speed up research, build small demos, or clarify technical details

You’ll thrive here if you

• Can explain technical concepts clearly without being an engineer yourself
• Understand video pacing, hooks, and how scripts serve the edit
• Are a self-starter who notices market opportunities and brings ideas to the team
• Are comfortable running your own tests and demos to validate what you’re writing about
• Have hands-on experience with common industry tools and platforms
• Can work autonomously and make judgment calls about tone, depth, and structure
• Are willing to learn and develop new skills on the job

Bonus skills

• Experience writing or producing content about marketing tools or software products
• Familiarity with how APIs work or basic automation concepts
• A portfolio of technical explainer videos, tutorials, or demos you’ve scripted or produced

What we offer

• Work on content that reaches a wide audience
• Ownership over technical content strategy
• Flexible paid time off
• Supportive in-house team with autonomy to shape your work
• Full training and onboarding support
