We are hiring a Service Writer to join our service department team. This is a full-time, entry-level position where you’ll support daily shop operations, help customers with technical needs, and manage service work orders.
Roles: You’ll work as part of the service team, assisting with customer service requests, opening and closing work orders, scheduling repairs, processing warranty claims, and helping coordinate shop activities. You’ll advise customers on technical issues, help with repair quotes, and schedule work assignments. When needed, you’ll oversee shop operations and participate in training to develop your skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Answer customer questions about technical problems and schedule service appointments
- Create and manage work orders with job details and instructions
- Help assess repair work and prepare quotes with the service manager
- Schedule shop work, field service tasks, and equipment delivery or pickup
- Process warranty claims accurately and on time
- Open and close work orders to meet daily goals
- Support shop activities and maintain a professional, positive attitude with customers and team members
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full time, ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, first shift, with Saturdays as needed
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. We provide full training. You’ll need:
- Basic comfort with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet applications
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Good organizational ability
- A positive, professional attitude
- Ability to provide friendly customer service
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
- High school diploma or equivalent

Physical requirements: This role involves standing, sitting, using a computer, and talking on the phone. You’ll need clear vision and the ability to hear conversations in person and over the phone. Light to moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds) may be required. You should be able to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed for shop work.
