About the Role:
We’re looking for creative writers to develop engaging, interactive romance stories for our platform. You’ll craft character-driven narratives across genres including contemporary romance, drama, and other popular fiction styles. Stories are written on a project basis, and successful writers have the opportunity to earn based on reader engagement and performance.
This is a fully remote, freelance position—work from home on your own schedule and bring your storytelling to life.
What You’ll Do:
Write immersive, interactive fiction where readers help shape the story direction. Develop compelling characters and plotlines that keep audiences engaged. Create stories tailored to current reader interests and platform trends. Pitch original story concepts and see them published to a global audience.
Skills/Background Needed:
A genuine passion for romance fiction and understanding of what readers love. Experience writing narrative content (published stories, writing samples, or a creator portfolio are all valuable). Familiarity with interactive storytelling platforms is helpful but not required. Ability to write compelling, character-focused stories that grab reader attention. A portfolio or examples of your writing—published work, writing samples, or social media following are all welcome.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
You understand current romance trends and know how to write stories readers want to follow. You’re organised and can deliver quality work on time. You’re open to feedback and willing to learn what works best for interactive formats. Even if you’re newer to publishing, a strong writing sample and clear story ideas can set you apart.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract Length: Project-based, freelance.
Location: Open to applicants worldwide. Fully remote.
What to Submit:
A brief bio and any links to your writing portfolio or creator profiles where you have an audience. One writing sample (published excerpt, short story, or strong sample of your style). One to three story concept pitches in the romance genre that fit interactive storytelling formats.
Successful pitches may lead to paid writing projects. Stories with strong reader engagement may qualify for bonus compensation or additional opportunities.
