We’re looking for a Grant Writer to join our team on a part-time basis. You’ll play a key role in identifying, developing, and submitting grant proposals to help secure funding for various programmes and initiatives. This is a fully remote position perfect for someone with strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
What you’ll do:
• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and funding organizations
• Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry
• Work with team members to gather programme data and identify funding needs
• Maintain a grants calendar and track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
• Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
• Assist in developing budgets and supporting documentation for proposals
• Keep organized records of all grant activities
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree in nonprofit administration, management, or related field is a plus)
• Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development (we’ll provide training on specifics)
• Strong written communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with Zoom and email communication
• Familiarity with nonprofit or mission-driven organisations is helpful but not required
