Position Summary: The Grant Writer researches, identifies, and writes compelling grant proposals to secure funding from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role requires strong research and writing skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in supporting healthcare initiatives. Full training will be provided.
About the role: You’ll work on-site in a supportive healthcare environment, developing proposals that help secure vital funding. No prior grant writing experience is required—we welcome enthusiastic entry-level writers and will train you in grant writing best practices, research techniques, and funder relationship management. You’ll manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a team committed to healthcare excellence.
What we’re looking for: Strong writing, research, and editing skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Friendly communication style and ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners. A passion for healthcare and supporting meaningful missions. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience/Education: Entry-level candidates are welcome. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates. Any background in healthcare, nonprofit work, business, or communications is a plus. We’ll provide comprehensive training in grant writing software and processes.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent position
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: On-site position available.
