About the role
We’re looking for a News Writer to join our journalism team working fully remote. You’ll research, interview sources, and write engaging news stories for publication. This is an entry-level position – full training and support provided.
What you’ll do
Research and pitch original story ideas; write clear, engaging copy on deadline; conduct interviews and community reporting; publish articles independently using WordPress; collaborate with our editorial team; and attend community events as assigned.
Skills/background needed
Strong writing ability; curiosity and news instinct; ability to meet deadlines; comfort conducting interviews; and a collaborative approach. Photography skills are a plus. No prior newsroom experience required – we provide full training.
Work format
Fully remote. You’ll work from home, using WordPress, email, Zoom, and team chat for collaboration.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
