We’re looking for a talented journalist and storyteller to create compelling news content across multiple platforms. This is a fully remote role where you’ll develop, write, shoot, and edit stories for digital platforms, television, and social media.
Roles: You will develop story ideas, conduct interviews, write and edit news stories under deadline pressure, and present stories in an engaging and authentic manner. You’ll create original content for social media and digital platforms, use editing and photography tools to tell great stories, and deliver live reports using current technology. You’ll research facts, develop news sources, and produce unique, captivating stories that stand out.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full time
Skills/background needed: You should have a strong understanding of journalistic principles and the ability to write in an exciting, captivating manner. Experience with video editing, photography, and content management systems is valuable. Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter is important. Spanish language skills are a plus. You’ll need to be comfortable working flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and handling breaking news situations calmly under pressure. A portfolio with examples of your reporting is essential. Some journalism or communications background is preferred, but we welcome entry-level candidates with strong storytelling ability and a passion for news.
