Join a small, collaborative team of writers working on meaningful journalism and in-depth analysis. This is a remote, part-time volunteer position with flexible scheduling.
About the role
You will work with editors to develop and refine stories, pitch ideas aligned with editorial focus, conduct research using credible sources, and write articles and explainers. You’ll collaborate with experienced editors to revise drafts, incorporate feedback, and meet agreed timelines. Full training and editorial support are provided.
What we’re looking for
You should be comfortable working independently while also engaging in a collaborative process. Sound judgment about what makes a compelling story, ability to follow through on assignments and deadlines, and a genuine interest in factual, evidence-based reporting are essential. Background in journalism or communications is helpful but not required. Experience writing for any public platform (blogs, newsletters, social media) is a bonus.
Skills/background needed
No prior professional experience necessary. You should be able to research topics thoroughly, write clearly for a general audience, and welcome editorial feedback to strengthen your work.
