We’re looking for a writer to create engaging content about health policy, government agencies, and congressional developments. You’ll write for a knowledgeable audience of policy professionals and government staff, covering news, analysis, and legislative updates across multiple platforms including newsletters, websites, and digital media.
What you’ll do:
Write newsletter content and news stories covering health policy developments, federal agencies, and Congress. Research and report on policy news from hearings, press events, and regulatory processes. Work with editors and other writers to develop your reporting and writing skills. Build relationships with sources in government and policy organisations. Contribute to content across digital platforms, print, and multimedia formats. Report breaking news and respond to newsroom requests promptly.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing and reporting ability under deadline pressure. Interest in health policy, government, or politics. Ability to explain complex policy clearly to a professional audience. Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in journalism, policy writing, or related fields is helpful but not required. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. We encourage applications even if you don’t meet every requirement.
Work format:
Fully remote. You’ll work from home with a collaborative team, participate in virtual meetings, and coordinate with editors and reporters online.
