We’re looking for a Content Producer to join our newsroom and help create engaging content across digital platforms. You’ll publish stories, monitor breaking news, write web copy, and share content on social media—all from home. No prior newsroom experience required; we’ll train you on everything.
What you’ll do:
Publish and optimize news stories (headlines, tags, images, formatting). Monitor breaking news and update stories quickly under deadline. Write and edit web stories using clear, straightforward copy. Adapt and share content across social platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X with platform-specific captions. Clip video, add captions and simple graphics using tools like Canva. Verify facts and sources, and use reader feedback to refine headlines and story placement.
Skills/background needed:
Ability to write clearly and edit quickly. Basic comfort with photos, simple video editing, and captions. Attention to detail and fact-checking. Willingness to work flexible hours to cover news as it breaks. No prior journalism experience necessary—enthusiasm and reliability matter most.
Contract length: Full time
