We’re looking for an experienced editor to join our team on a 5-month contract basis. You’ll work fully remote, supporting writers to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with writers on daily content development; brainstorm story ideas and angles; provide constructive feedback to help writers strengthen their work; perform line editing and fact-checking to ensure clarity and accuracy; assist with headline writing; help prepare content for publication; collaborate with the editorial team to manage deadlines and priorities.
Skills/background needed:
3+ years of editing or publishing experience; strong line editing and fact-checking skills; familiarity with AP style; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; experience working in a virtual team setting; comfort with editorial workflow tools.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: 5 months
Location: Remote work worldwide (English speaking preferred)
