Do you love meeting new people, attending events, and telling stories that matter? We’re looking for an energetic writer who enjoys interviewing people, creating engaging content, and helping showcase local stories through different formats.
You’ll work fully remote, covering community events, interviewing business owners and local leaders, creating short-form videos and photos, writing feature stories and articles, and producing content for websites, social media, and digital campaigns.
What you’ll do:
Attend community events and festivals (flexibly scheduled)
Interview business owners, community leaders, and local residents
Capture photos and video for digital platforms and campaigns
Produce short-form videos and behind-the-scenes content
Write compelling feature stories, blogs, and event recaps
Collaborate with team members on marketing and social media initiatives
Skills/background needed:
Comfortable starting conversations and connecting with people
Basic photography and smartphone video skills (we’ll train you)
Ability to write clear, engaging stories
Reliable with deadlines and organized
Proactive and positive attitude
Experience in journalism, communications, social media, or content creation is helpful but not required. Familiarity with Canva or social media platforms is a plus.
