We are looking for a beginner-friendly writer to join a friendly team covering portable and mobile gaming. If you love games on phones and handheld consoles, this fully remote role is a great place to start.
You will create daily guides and news stories, plus the occasional review, feature, or opinion piece. You will upload stories to a content management system, share published work on social media, and help keep editorial standards consistent. You will also keep an eye on industry developments and communicate with developers and publishers.
You will use basic tools such as word processing and spreadsheets, a team chat app, and a project tracking tool. You will follow simple processes to keep content organised and optimised for discovery.
We welcome applicants with a keen interest in mobile and handheld gaming, a careful eye for accuracy, and the ability to stay organised and meet deadlines. Familiarity with WordPress or a similar publishing platform is helpful but not essential, as training is provided. The role includes weekend work, so comfort working independently is a plus.
