About the Role
We’re hiring writers on a contract basis for a data anonymization programme. You’ll work through business documents and structured records, deciding what is and isn’t personal information and grouping related entries so the same person or organization is handled consistently. Reviewers check your work before it goes out. Full training is provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
What You’ll Do
– Review documents and records and confirm, correct or add personal information tags
– Group related people, organizations and contact details together
– Spot personal information that automated detection missed, and avoid tagging what isn’t personal
– Follow guidelines that are updated regularly, using the version in force on the day you work
– Act on reviewer feedback and apply it across your other tasks
– Work asynchronously with a distributed team and raise unclear cases rather than guessing
What We’re Looking For
– Able to commit 30+ hours per week, with this as your main project
– A sharp eye for detail across long, repetitive material and the patience to double-check your own work
– Comfort with rules that change often, and a habit of checking the current guideline
– Takes feedback well and adjusts quickly
– Able to work entirely without AI assistance on task data
– Excellent written English and a reliable internet connection in a quiet, focused workspace
Nice to Have
– Interest in privacy or data-protection ideas
– Experience with copy-editing or detail-heavy work
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Ongoing contract
Location: Remote work worldwide (United States preferred)
