We are looking for a curious, beginner-friendly writer to join our editorial team and help produce short news articles, feature stories and press releases for our publications. This fully remote role is perfect for someone who enjoys turning complex science and research topics into clear, relatable content for a general audience.
Full training is provided, so no prior professional writing experience is needed. You will learn how to research scientific topics, interpret studies and share findings in plain language that anyone can follow.
Roles:
– Write short news pieces, features and announcements
– Turn research and technical information into easy-to-read stories
– Help build newsletter templates and post stories in a content system
– Write brief event and community notes
– Work with editors and teammates to meet deadlines
Skills/background needed:
– Curiosity and willingness to learn new science topics
– Clear, organised writing style
– Comfort juggling a few tasks at once
– Friendly teamwork and communication
– Basic familiarity with tools like Microsoft Word and Google Docs is a plus
