As a Freelance Medical Editor, you will proofread and edit medical and scientific content across scripts, storyboards, print layouts, multimedia presentations, and digital learning materials. You will work with a collaborative team to ensure content is accurate, clear, consistent, and meets client-specific style and formatting requirements.
What you’ll do:
Proofread and edit medical and scientific scripts, storyboards, layouts, and presentations for correctness and clarity. Apply style preferences specific to each project and maintain consistency across multiple deliverables. Perform quality checks on learning materials, workshops, and print modules. Prepare and verify bibliographies and references for accuracy. Create and update project-specific style guidelines. Collaborate with team members to support accurate and timely delivery of content.
Skills/background needed:
Strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and medical writing conventions. Ability to work with multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high quality standards. Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic computer skills. Experience with reference management is helpful but not required. Full training on project-specific style requirements and systems will be provided.
Contract length: Freelance, ongoing
