We are seeking a Content Writer with fluency in American Sign Language and teaching experience to create engaging learning activities for high school digital curriculum. This is a remote contract position ideal for someone with ASL teaching background who wants to develop online educational materials.
About the role:
You will write activities and video scripts for an online language-learning platform used by high school students. Your work will help students develop both receptive and expressive ASL skills through interactive, engaging content. You’ll create role-play scenarios, assessment activities, and instructional materials aligned with language-learning standards.
Skills/background needed:
• Fluent in American Sign Language with deep understanding of Deaf culture
• Strong written English skills
• Experience teaching or assessing ASL at high school level or above
• Ability to write clear video scripts for sign language instruction
• Experience creating language learning activities and role-plays
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, file-sharing platforms, and team communication tools
• Able to meet deadlines and respond well to feedback
Contract length: Flexible, part-time remote contract
