We’re seeking a news writer to produce engaging stories across multiple platforms. You’ll develop breaking news, features, and analysis pieces that inform and entertain readers. This is a fully remote role where you’ll work from anywhere to create content for social media, video, podcasts, and web platforms.
What you’ll do:
Cover assigned topics for all platforms with speed and accuracy. Break news on trending topics with urgency. Use social media platforms—Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit—as news gathering tools. Optimize stories for your audience using SEO and basic metrics. Develop strong relationships with readers through engaging, exclusive content. Produce photos and record video or audio in the field. Contribute to podcasts or video analysis when needed.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing and storytelling skills. Ability to work fast in a deadline-driven environment. Comfortable using social media as a reporting tool. Willingness to learn video, audio, and photography basics. Solid news judgment and commitment to accuracy and fairness. Understanding of basic media ethics. No prior experience required—we provide full training on our tools and processes.
