About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing team. You’ll work from home, creating clear documentation that helps users understand and work with software systems. This is a fully remote position perfect for someone starting their career in technical writing.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Create Useful Documentation – Write user guides, operator guides, and developer documentation that people actually use. Your goal is to make complex software understandable and easy to work with.

Write Clear Requirements – Help translate what engineers are building into clear, structured requirements that everyone can understand. You’ll work with the team to define how systems should work.

Communicate Updates – Write release notes that explain what’s changed and why it matters to users. Partner with engineers to capture and share important updates.

Bridge Teams Together – Work directly with engineers and end users to gather information and ask questions that clarify how systems should work. Your role is to make sure what gets built matches how it will actually be used.

Improve How We Document – Help establish templates, standards, and best practices that make it easier for everyone on the team to share knowledge and keep documentation organised.

What you’ll need

You don’t need years of experience to apply. We’re looking for someone who:

– Can understand and explain technical systems clearly

– Enjoys turning complicated information into simple, useful guides

– Works well with engineers and other team members

– Has strong organisational and communication skills

– Takes initiative and isn’t afraid to ask questions

– Is comfortable working in a collaborative, remote environment

Nice to have

If you have any of the following, it’s a bonus (but not required):

– Experience writing user stories or working in team development environments

– Familiarity with documentation tools like Markdown or version control systems

– Any background in software development or technical environments
