We are seeking an Entry Level Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. You will provide support in preparing and editing technical documentation, including guides, manuals, specifications, technical reports, and training materials in accordance with established standards.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that technical and visual information (graphics, tables, videos, and images) adheres to established writing, editing, and formatting standards.Coordinate and communicate frequently with subject matter experts.Search various databases, websites, and repositories for source material.Organize and file material into documentation libraries and image databases as required.Submit requests using workflow software to various teams and colleagues.Research and verify applicable source data.Complete all required data fields with accurate information.Create, maintain, and update bibliographic material for technical publications.Create rough drafts of visual images to communicate desired visual information in collaboration with imaging and graphics specialists.Create tables using Microsoft Word or Excel and organize them in shared storage; coordinate desired outcomes with the graphics team.Create figure and table titles that comply with established standards.Resolve issues, address feedback, and respond promptly to inquiries from subject matter experts, imaging, graphics, and other team members.Eliminate typographical errors, grammatical errors, and misspellings while ensuring proper sentence structure.Ensure measurements, callouts, and titles in visual information match corresponding text.Verify that hyperlinks are correctly linked to their intended material.
Skills/background needed:
Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technical, writing, or English language discipline, or equivalent work experience.At least one year of technical writing or editing experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.Ability to communicate clearly with team members across departments.Willingness to learn established documentation standards and processes.No prior experience necessary—full training will be provided.

Contract length: Full-time, ongoing.
