Role Summary

As an entry-level Technical Writer, you’ll work with engineers and content teams to create professional materials that meet strict standards for clarity and accuracy. You’ll gain hands-on experience editing documentation, designing layouts, and using industry publishing tools—all while contributing to materials used in real-world training environments.
What You’ll Do
Write, edit, and proofread clear, accurate technical documentation
Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand text and visuals
Use publishing tools including Microsoft Office and PDF software to create and update materials
Organize content and support documentation workflows
Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to verify accuracy and meet deadlines
Skills/Background Needed
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications
Ability to manage deadlines and work within structured processes
Willingness to learn industry style guides and documentation standards
Experience with publishing or multimedia tools is a plus, but not required
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with style guides and structured authoring practices
Knowledge of documentation workflows and directory structures
Experience with HTML, XML, or other web-authoring tools
Experience with version control systems or project management tools (school or personal project experience counts)
