Join a growing team as a Content Acquisitions Specialist. In this role, you’ll identify and evaluate new titles for publication, negotiate with authors and agents, and guide projects through production to release. You’ll be the primary point of contact for authors and publishers, building relationships that drive our catalogue forward.
What you’ll do:
Identify and evaluate prospective titles for acquisition
Negotiate with independent authors, publishers, and literary agents to acquire rights and clear necessary permissions
Monitor live titles’ performance and feedback
Collaborate with the production team to guide scripting, adaptation, and casting
Maintain active relationships with authors, publishers, and licensors from initial contact through production and beyond
Skills/background needed:
A genuine love of literature and strong research and analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong organizational skills and time management
Independent problem-solving approach with creativity and sound judgment
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
A good instinct for content and storytelling that can be continuously developed
No prior experience required – full training will be provided
Preferred qualifications:
Publishing, research, or dramatic arts background
Specialized knowledge or passionate interests in a particular niche
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent role
Location: Fully remote – work from home or anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (Eastern Time)
