Role Overview
We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to support content creation and digital marketing. This is a paid, remote, contract-based position ideal for students or individuals interested in social media, marketing, and content creation. No prior experience required – we’ll guide you through everything.
You’ll be creating engaging social media posts, supporting promotional campaigns, and helping grow our online presence across Instagram and TikTok.
What You’ll Do
• Create and design social media posts using Canva
• Develop engaging content for Instagram and TikTok
• Write clear and engaging captions for posts
• Support marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
• Schedule and publish content consistently
• Repurpose and adapt content across different social media formats
• Contribute ideas for content themes and engagement strategies
• Maintain consistent branding across all visual and written content
• Monitor basic engagement metrics such as likes, views, and comments
• Deliver content on schedule and meet quality expectations
Skills/Background Needed
• Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, or content creation
• Basic understanding of Instagram and TikTok
• Familiarity with Canva, or willingness to learn quickly
• Creativity and ability to turn ideas into engaging visual content
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet weekly content deadlines
Nice to Have
• Experience managing personal or school social media accounts
• Basic video editing skills
• Understanding of social media trends and engagement strategies
Equipment Required
• Laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet connection
• Access to Canva (will be provided)
• Access to Instagram and TikTok (company accounts provided)
• Basic ability to use Google Drive and Google Docs
Availability
This is a flexible, fully remote role with an expected workload of approximately 5 hours per week. Work is output-based rather than strictly time-tracked. You’ll need to meet weekly content deadlines consistently, but you have flexibility in when and how you complete your work.

Contract Length
Summer contract position with potential for extension into a part-time ongoing role following successful completion, based on performance and business needs.
