Technical Writer – Energy & Software Documentation, Remote

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our remote team. You’ll create clear, user-friendly documentation for energy technology products—including user guides, installation manuals, quick start guides, and release notes.

What you’ll do:

Work with product managers and subject matter experts to produce accurate technical documentation. Create high-quality content using industry-standard tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Design templates, edit documentation from other writers, and develop plans to meet release schedules. You’ll also examine documentation from a customer perspective to catch inconsistencies before final release.

Skills/background needed:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, or related field. 3–5 years’ experience writing technical documentation for software or hardware is preferred, but we welcome those new to the field with strong writing skills and a willingness to learn. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and working with subject matter experts is a plus. Familiarity with DITA or XML authoring tools is helpful but not required.

Why this role:

Full training provided. Work entirely from home in a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll develop real expertise in technical communications while helping customers understand complex technology.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full-time, permanent.

Location: Remote work worldwide (English speaking preferred)
