About this role:
As a Technical Writer, you’ll create clear, well-organized written materials that help people understand how to use equipment, systems, and procedures. You’ll work with technical information, diagrams, and operating details to produce manuals, reports, instruction books, and related documentation.
This is a fully remote position where you’ll receive assignments and technical guidance from a supervisor. You’ll have access to manufacturer catalogs, drawings, blueprints, and product samples to help you create accurate documentation. No prior technical writing experience is necessary—full training will be provided.
What you’ll do:
• Write and revise technical materials including manuals, proposals, instruction books, and reports
• Organize technical information and present it clearly according to established standards
• Select and integrate photographs, diagrams, charts, and sketches to illustrate your writing
• Review and verify operating procedures and technical details
• Maintain organized records of your work and revisions
• Collaborate with supervisors and technical experts to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Assist with preparing materials for publication and distribution
Skills/background needed:
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to understand and explain technical information clearly
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow style guidelines and formatting standards
• Comfortable learning new tools and processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word or Google Docs
