We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our Energy Systems team. You’ll manage documentation for commercial and charging products, with a focus on creating clear, accurate content for internal audiences.
As a technical writer supporting business operations, you’ll develop a strong understanding of how the energy business operates and interacts with various internal software systems. Working collaboratively with project managers, technicians, product managers, and other teams, you’ll contribute to the growth and development of various products and services.
What You’ll Do
Communicate and collaborate with subject matter experts to build strong working relationships and gather information
Understand business processes and systems and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences
Validate information for accuracy and use a review process for document approval
Edit content according to a style guide and enforce organizational standards
Manage tasks and information flow using standard collaboration tools
Create and optimize visual content including screenshots, diagrams, and annotated images to accompany written documentation
Skills/background needed:
Degree in English, Communications, Writing, or equivalent professional experience
Experience writing technical documentation, ideally in a technology-focused environment
Ability to explain complex processes and systems in clear, accessible language
Comfort learning and using new tools and software systems
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
Experience with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar writing and editing tools
Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, or similar markup languages is a plus, but not required
