Technical Content Writer – Data Platforms Remote

We’re looking for a Technical Content Writer to join our fully remote marketing team. This role involves creating in-depth technical content for data engineers, analytics engineers, and platform practitioners who work with modern data platforms. You’ll produce ebooks, long-form guides, blog posts, and webinar materials that help professionals understand cost management, optimization, and best practices in their day-to-day work.

This is a role for someone who can research, write, and refine content independently, with support from subject-matter experts and technical reviewers when needed. You’ll own projects from initial research through to publish-ready drafts, and you’ll be comfortable integrating feedback in collaborative review cycles.

What You’ll Do

• Research, outline, and draft comprehensive guides on cost management and optimization topics for data platforms
• Produce technical blog posts at a pace of 2 or more per month, based on observed patterns and practical data
• Develop research outlines, speaker scripts, and slide frameworks for webinars
• Structure complex technical material for practitioners who expect depth and practical value
• Incorporate feedback from internal experts and technical reviewers through full revision cycles
• Extend coverage across multiple platforms as the content program grows, mapping transferable concepts without over-generalizing

Skills/background needed

• 5 to 8 years of technical content writing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating depth in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields
• Proven ability to write for data engineers, analytics engineers, platform engineers, or similar technical practitioners
• Hands-on familiarity with modern data platforms: you understand configuration, compute optimization, and cost management well enough to write about these topics without relying solely on documentation
• Experience writing ebooks and long-form guides that balance structure, pacing, and readability with technical depth
• Ability to work independently, set your own research agenda, drive workstreams, and flag accuracy issues proactively
• Strong editorial judgment: you know when a draft needs refinement and when it’s ready to move forward
• Comfort with webinar scripts or technical presentation materials (a plus)
• Background as a practitioner who transitioned into technical writing (a plus)

What We Offer

• Fully remote role with flexible working options
• Opportunity to work on projects that matter to a global technical audience
• Collaborative environment with access to subject-matter experts and technical reviewers
• Support for professional development and skill growth
• Inclusive, supportive team culture
