We’re looking for a full-time sports writer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while covering local sporting events and games.
You’ll write engaging articles about sports in your community, capture photos and video at events, and help bring stories to life. We provide full training on all the tools and processes you’ll need—no prior experience required.
What you’ll do:
• Write clear, detailed sports articles and reports
• Shoot photos and video at games and events
• Proofread and edit content for accuracy
• Work independently and meet deadlines
• Help cover evening shifts and weekend events
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Proof of insurance
• A passion for sports and storytelling
• No prior journalism experience necessary—we’ll train you
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, ongoing position
Location: Local position available. Some evening and weekend shifts required.
