About The Role
Social media is one of the most visible ways to build a brand’s presence online. We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands the current social media landscape, knows how to build systems and processes (not just post content), and is excited to create a social presence that people genuinely want to follow.
This role goes beyond managing owned channels. You’ll help build and manage employee advocacy efforts—supporting team members in sharing company content authentically online. You’ll support leadership visibility and thought leadership on social platforms. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure campaigns, launches, and content from across the organization reach the right audiences.
What You’ll Do
Social Strategy & Execution
• Own social presence across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others as relevant)
• Develop channel-specific strategies that play to each platform’s unique strengths and audience
• Build and maintain a content calendar with consistent publishing schedules and engagement frameworks
• Monitor conversations, trends, and brand mentions to engage authentically
• Build systems to track opportunities for brand participation and community connection
Content Creation & Repurposing
• Create or direct the production of short-form social content
• Build systems to transform core content into multiple platform-native formats
• Develop and maintain community management guidelines and response frameworks
Employee & Leadership Advocacy
• Design and manage employee advocacy programs that make it easy for team members to amplify company content
• Create training materials and enablement resources (templates, guidelines, tooling)
• Support executive social presence—managing content, posting schedules, and platform strategy in partnership with marketing leadership
What You Bring
Essential Skills & Background
• 1–3 years of social media management experience (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
• Strong understanding of current social media platforms and trends
• Ability to think strategically about building social systems and processes, not just managing day-to-day posting
• Comfortable writing platform-native content across different tones and formats
• Willingness to learn and grow—we provide full training and support
Nice-to-Have Experience
• Any background in employee advocacy or community management
• Experience supporting leadership visibility or executive communications
• Familiarity with content repurposing or creating video and audio content
• Experience with video or audio editing tools
Skills & Background Needed
Proficiency with: LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Canva, Google Docs, Google Sheets
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months, you will:
• Develop and document a clear social media strategy with platform prioritization and success metrics
• Launch an employee advocacy program with training and supporting materials
• Establish social presence support for leadership voices
• Demonstrate measurable audience growth and engagement improvements across channels
