About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator and Content Creator to help us share our community’s story across social media. In this role, you’ll create engaging short-form videos and photos, manage our social media presence, and coordinate with volunteer contributors to build our online community. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop real-world social media and team leadership skills from the ground up.
What you’ll do
• Shoot, edit, and share engaging photos and short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Create and manage a content calendar to keep our social media active and consistent
• Write captions and use hashtags to reach and engage our audience
• Respond to comments and messages to build relationships with our online community
• Recruit and coordinate volunteer photographers and videographers to help capture content
• Create simple guidelines and schedules for volunteers to follow
• Use basic analytics to understand what content performs well and refine your strategy accordingly
What we’re looking for
• Enthusiasm for creating social media content and telling engaging stories
• Basic experience with smartphone video or photo capture and mobile editing apps like Canva or CapCut
• A willingness to learn social media best practices and platform strategies
• Comfortable recruiting and working with volunteers
• Strong written communication skills
• A creative mindset and passion for community building
