Roles: We are looking for a beginner-friendly News Writer to join our fully remote team. This work-from-home role involves writing clear, accurate news stories and updates for broadcast and online audiences. Full training is provided, so no prior experience is required.
What you will do:
Write short, factual news updates and reports. Help develop story ideas and original content. Record and edit audio to meet deadlines. Coordinate with team members to share stories across broadcast and digital channels. Respond quickly to breaking news situations. Support interview booking and build contacts with news sources.
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience necessary. We provide full training. A willingness to learn news writing, editing, and headline writing is helpful. Basic comfort with computers and learning new systems. Good organization and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and with a team. Clear communication under pressure. Openness to feedback and direction.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Flexible on-call coverage, with scheduling to be discussed.
