We’re seeking an entry-level to mid-level Proposal Writer to join our remote team. You’ll write compelling fundraising proposals, donor communications, and impact reports that inspire support for environmental conservation work.
What you’ll do:
Write and edit fundraising proposals and donor communications, including reports, newsletters, impact stories, and thank-you messages. Develop content strategies for donor engagement and stewardship. Create vision pieces and case statements for new initiatives. Work closely with programme staff, leadership, and development teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive donor-facing copy. Help build processes and templates for proposal writing and delivery.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing fundamentals – grammar, clarity, and style. Ability to translate technical or complex topics into engaging language for different audiences. Research and fact-checking skills. Excellent collaboration and communication abilities. Experience in proposal writing, grant writing, or similar fundraising communications is a plus, but training will be provided. Passion for conservation or nonprofit work is valued but not required.
