We’re looking for a skilled writer to create compelling fundraising proposals and communications for a nonprofit organization. You’ll craft narratives that inspire donors, translate complex organizational priorities into clear funding opportunities, and manage writing projects from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and write major gift proposals and cases for support, working with leadership and fundraising teams
• Create multi-channel fundraising appeals and donor communications
• Write impact reports and stewardship materials that show donors the results of their giving
• Advise on messaging and help package programs into donor-ready concepts
• Design and produce visual fundraising materials using Canva and approved templates
• Maintain brand standards and approved language across all communications
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment
What You’ll Need
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience writing fundraising appeals, proposals, or nonprofit communications
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Comfort with basic graphic design tools like Canva
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Professional communication style and ability to work with diverse teams
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
No prior nonprofit experience is essential—we provide full training. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and excited to help organizations tell their stories.
Contract Length: Full Time
