We’re looking for a Proposal Writer to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position offering the chance to build your career with us. We work with government agencies across the country, and we’re expanding our team to support our growing business.
About the role:
As a Proposal Writer, you’ll develop, write, and edit clear, well-structured proposal content. You’ll work with subject matter experts to turn technical information into cohesive, client-focused submissions. This role involves analyzing requests, researching information, drafting compelling responses, and ensuring all documents are polished and ready for submission.
What you’ll do:
• Analyze solicitations and requests to identify requirements and evaluation criteria
• Draft, edit, and format proposal content including executive summaries, technical sections, and management responses
• Conduct research and gather information by interviewing team members and subject matter experts
• Maintain organized tracking of proposals using spreadsheets and other tools
• Support post-submission tasks such as revisions and clarifications
• Develop and update charts, tables, and graphics for proposals
• Edit technical materials prepared by other staff for clarity and consistency
• Maintain version control of proposal documents
• Improve proposal processes by evaluating and updating templates and workflows
• Attend strategy meetings to understand key themes and translate them into persuasive content
• Prepare final submissions in required formats
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, OR at least 2 years of experience in proposal writing or business development
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with PDF tools
• Ability to work toward multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex documents
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders
• Problem-solving skills and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Willingness to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality
• Familiarity with government procurement processes is a plus, but not required
