We’re looking for a thoughtful, curious writer to join our team producing daily news analysis content. In this role, you’ll write original pieces that help readers understand the news of the day, covering a wide range of contemporary issues and events. You’ll produce multiple analysis pieces each week, working closely with an editor to plan coverage and deliver polished, engaging copy on tight deadlines.
This is a fully remote position ideal for someone passionate about news, current events, and the craft of writing. No prior professional experience required — we provide full training and support to help you succeed.
What you’ll do:
• Write multiple original pieces of news analysis each week in coordination with your editor
• Deliver clean, polished copy while meeting daily deadlines
• Stay current with major news, commentary, and journalism across platforms and publications
• Find fresh angles and new perspectives on widely-covered events and issues
• Anticipate major news developments and plan ahead to cover them
• Engage with reader feedback to understand your audience better
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing ability with clear, engaging prose

• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and accessibly
