Medical Writer – Health Literacy Remote Entry Level

We are seeking an entry-level Medical Writer to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will develop, author, and review accurate, clear, and compliant documents that support our work in clinical research and public health. You’ll collaborate with project leads and cross-functional teams to create materials that follow health literacy principles and best practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn and apply medical writing best practices, including authoring, editing, and reviewing high-quality documents

• Prepare clinical and public-facing documents such as plain language summaries, informed consent forms, and clinical trial materials

• Work with internal and external teams to plan, author, and guide documents through review and approval

• Identify solutions to challenges related to documents, timelines, and processes

• Develop knowledge of clinical development, relevant regulations, and medical writing tools

• Contribute ideas to improve medical writing processes and standards

Skills and Background Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a health, scientific, or related field (such as life sciences, pharmacy, or public health)

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in medical writing, clinical research, or a related field

• Understanding of clinical research, clinical trial design, and basic statistics

• Strong attention to detail and ability to critically evaluate information

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in deadline-driven environments

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and shared document systems

• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies

Preferred Experience:

• Experience writing plain language materials, patient-facing content, or informed consent forms

• Familiarity with health literacy principles and best practices

• Experience translating complex scientific information into clear, accessible text

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract Length: Regular, full-time position

Location: Fully remote – work from home
