Are you passionate about science and research? We’re looking for an entry-level editor to join our editorial team in a fully remote role.
About the Role:
You’ll work from home managing key parts of the peer-review and publishing process for scientific journals. This is a hands-on introduction to scholarly publishing with training provided throughout.
What You’ll Do:
Organize the peer-review workflow, including manuscript triage, reviewer selection, and editorial decision-making. Collaborate daily with researchers, authors, and reviewers worldwide via online communication. Help acquire new content by commissioning articles and planning special issues. Work with cross-functional teams to improve publishing workflows. Gain broad, practical experience across multiple areas of scholarly publishing.
Skills/background needed:
A PhD in life sciences, physical sciences, health sciences, or a related field. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated, diplomatic, and collaborative. Basic familiarity with the peer-review process is helpful but not required.
