We’re looking for an entry-level writer who understands how digital culture moves fast and wants to build real writing skills by creating engaging content around trending topics, pop culture moments, and lifestyle stories.
The Role
This is a 6-month contract position, fully remote with flexible structure. You’ll work during peak hours (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday) creating 3–5 blog posts daily based on trending entertainment, lifestyle, pop culture, and digital media conversations. Daily assignments are distributed at the start of your shift and must be completed by end of day.
What You’ll Do
Monitor trending topics and work with the social media team to identify which moments should become blog posts. Draft timely, engaging articles from trending stories, social content, interviews, and cultural moments. Write sharp headlines and intros that make topics feel clear and clickable. Research quickly to add context and credibility. Repurpose social content into articles, recaps, and listicles. Create simple graphics using Canva to support posts. Pitch timely blog ideas and stay organised with drafts, links, and visuals. Participate in weekly team meetings.
Skills/background needed
Strong writing ability with experience in social media, blogging, content creation, or digital marketing (even informal experience counts). You can write quickly and accurately, understand entertainment and pop culture trends, and recognise which moments make good stories. Comfortable with Canva or similar design tools. Able to research, fact-check, and meet deadlines. Good communication skills, organised, and ready to commit to the full 6-month term. No camera experience needed, but willingness to support it is a plus.
