Grants Writer – Work From Home Entry Level

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Grants Writer to join our team on a fully remote basis. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone passionate about nonprofit work and eager to develop professional writing skills in fundraising and donor communications.

About the Role:

As a Grants Writer, you’ll be responsible for writing funding proposals, letters of intent, and donor reports. You’ll work closely with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather information and craft compelling narratives that showcase our mission and impact. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in foundation and corporate fundraising while working from home on a flexible schedule.

What You’ll Do:

• Write proposals and reports for foundations and corporate donors• Conduct prospect research to identify funding opportunities• Prepare and submit proposals in accordance with funder guidelines• Track and organize grant submissions and deadlines• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to gather data and impact stories• Maintain knowledge of our mission and programs to strengthen proposal quality• Communicate with donors and funders as needed• Assist with donor stewardship and reporting

Skills/background needed:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines• Experience with a CRM system or similar database (or willingness to learn)• Comfortable using Google Docs, email, and standard office tools• Self-motivated and able to work independently from home• Passion for nonprofit work and social impact• Full training will be provided in grant writing and our systems
