About the Role
We’re looking for an entry-level Grant Writer to join our team and help identify and develop funding sources to support programme activities and operational costs. In this fully remote position, you’ll be responsible for researching grant opportunities, drafting compelling grant proposals, managing funding applications, and maintaining relationships with foundations and funding agencies. You’ll work closely with team members to ensure all applications meet deadlines and comply with funding requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Research new grant opportunities and funding trends
• Draft and develop grant proposals based on programme needs and financial information
• Write compelling descriptions of our mission and programmes for various audiences
• Collaborate with team members to build funding support
• Track outcomes and ensure compliance with funding agency requirements
• Meet application deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously
• Proofread and edit all written materials for clarity and accuracy
Skills/background needed
• Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Research skills and ability to find and evaluate funding opportunities
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Canva is a plus
• Organised, creative, and able to think critically
• Ability to collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds
• No prior grant writing experience required – full training will be provided
