In this role, you will handle the full grant lifecycle—from researching funding opportunities through final submission—while keeping detailed records. You will work closely with leadership, program staff, and finance teams to align proposals with organizational goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

You approach fundraising strategically and understand how to translate complex programme concepts into compelling narratives. You have strong time management skills, can handle multiple deadlines, and take pride in accurate, thorough work. You are a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and are committed to social and environmental causes.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of interest, and concept papers on a regular basis. Collaborate with leadership and programme staff to translate organizational initiatives into fundable proposals. Handle all technical aspects of online grant submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely uploads of all required documents. Research local, state, and federal funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities and capacity. Manage grant applications that require coordination with fiscal sponsors, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Maintain detailed records of all submitted proposals, reporting deadlines, and funder communications. Build and organize a digital library of standard grant support documents for easy access and reuse.

Skills/background needed:

Experience with grant proposal writing is essential. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt your voice to organizational needs. Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PDF tools. Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and work independently. Familiarity with online grant submission portals is helpful. A commitment to social, environmental, or community-focused work is important.
