We’re looking for freelance reporters to write news stories covering government, public safety, courts, education, business and community issues.
Assignments include attending public meetings, conducting interviews, researching public records and producing accurate stories to deadline. You’ll report on stories that matter to your community and help keep people informed.
What we’re looking for:
Strong writing and reporting skills with a solid grasp of news judgment. You’ll need reliability, accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines. We welcome writers with some journalism background, but we’re happy to work with anyone who can demonstrate excellent news writing ability.
How it works:
This is fully remote freelance work. You’ll be paid per story completed. Training and support provided as you get started.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
