We are seeking a proposal writing consultant to help develop high-quality proposals on a freelance, flexible basis. This fully remote role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects with real deadlines while building expertise in a growing field.
You will work on the full proposal lifecycle – from understanding requirements and shaping strategy to writing, editing, and finalizing content. You’ll collaborate with proposal managers and subject matter experts to gather input, develop original content, and ensure consistent messaging across multiple sections and writers. You’ll also manage revisions based on feedback, proofread for accuracy and clarity, and help with submission logistics.
What we’re looking for:
• Clear, persuasive writing and editing skills
• Ability to understand requirements quickly and translate them into strong narratives
• Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Collaborative spirit and openness to feedback
• Ability to synthesize input from multiple sources into clear, concise writing
• Familiarity with government procurement processes is helpful but not required
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to manage version control and deliver work on time
Prior experience with structured proposal processes or proposal coordination is a plus, but we welcome applications from writers eager to learn and develop expertise in this area.
