Roles: Food Writer
We are looking for a beginner-friendly food writer to join our community team. This is a fully remote role where you will cover food news, restaurant openings and closings, dining trends, and the stories people are talking about.
What you will do:
Pitch, report, and write timely, well-researched stories about food and dining. Take on assigned topics with equal enthusiasm. Gather information from credible sources and follow standards for accuracy and attribution. Write clean copy with attention to detail and style. Run reader polls, surveys, and quizzes, then write quick follow-ups. Contribute to a food newsletter and create simple social posts and videos.
Skills/background needed:
No prior professional experience required. Full training is provided. You should have solid editorial judgment, the ability to write quickly and clearly, and a curiosity about how readers engage with content online. A willingness to learn and an audience-focused mindset are a plus.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Flexible, with potential to move into a permanent role.
