Roles: We are looking for a curious, beginner-friendly reporter to help cover lifestyle, culture and trending topics for a digital audience. No prior newsroom experience is required, and full training is provided.
What you will do:
• Write short, engaging articles on lifestyle, human interest and current trends.
• Pitch simple story ideas and suggest fresh angles on popular topics.
• Research stories using social media, search trends and other public sources.
• Gather quotes and original comment from people connected to a story.
• Find relevant images and video to support your articles.
• Check facts carefully and keep all content accurate and fair.
• Work with editors and other teams to publish stories smoothly.
Skills/background needed:
• Clear, engaging writing style.
• Comfort using social media and search tools to spot stories.
• Good judgement and attention to accuracy.
• Ability to meet short deadlines calmly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new formats.
• No prior professional experience required; training is provided.
Contract length: Casual, flexible hours agreed as needed.
